Seeing a city struck by an earthquake on tv is one thing, but actually walking around one close to ground zero is another.
The center of Christchurch is too badly damaged to enter and sealed of by the military. In the area around the center people try to pick up their lives. Very, very strange to see people jogging through what looks like a warzone.
I cant wait to move on to Kaikoura.
Just being here makes me feel uneasy, like I'm in the way of rescue and demolition teams doing their work.
